Samsung will begin 2026 with a preview of new consumer electronics at its annual “First Look” event in Las Vegas, taking place two days before the start of CES. The showcase is set for January 4 and will give attendees an early opportunity to view upcoming products across multiple categories.

According to the official invitation, the event will provide an “early look at new products,” continuing the format Samsung has used in previous years. While it is not part of the company’s Galaxy Unpacked series, which traditionally focuses on smartphones and wearables, the timing positions the announcement to set the tone for the wider CES exhibition opening January 6.

The program is expected to highlight advancements in television, display technologies and smart home ecosystems, with AI features playing a significant role. For the first time, TM Roh, the recently appointed CEO of Samsung’s Device eXperience Division, will deliver the keynote speech. The First Look format typically includes hands-on sessions, allowing journalists to test new devices on site.

Samsung will livestream the event on its website, YouTube channel and Samsung TV Plus for those unable to attend in person. Although the company has not confirmed smartphone launches for this showcase, industry speculation suggests the newly revealed Galaxy Z TriFold may be demonstrated to global audiences for the first time. The foldable device is scheduled to expand beyond its initial South Korean release in 2026, including markets such as the United States and the United Arab Emirates.
