OneRugged has introduced the M82A, a rugged Windows tablet designed for industrial and outdoor use in global markets. The China-based manufacturer said the device is engineered to operate in challenging conditions, featuring MIL-STD 810H certification and an IP67 waterproof rating. The company stated that the tablet is capable of withstanding temperatures from –20°C to 60°C. According to the announcement, the device is intended for professionals who need computing capability in “hazardous environments”.
The M82A departs from conventional rugged Windows tablets, which typically offer 10-inch or 12-inch displays. Instead, the new model features an 8-inch Full HD panel with a resolution of 1200 x 1920 and peak brightness of 550 nits. The unit measures 236.8 x 155.8 x 21.6 mm and weighs approximately 850 grams, placing it among the more compact devices in its category.

Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics handle visual tasks, while active cooling aims to maintain performance during sustained workloads. “The rugged tablet is designed to withstand harsh outdoor environments,” the company said in the original release.
The device includes a 43.32 Wh battery with support for 48 W wired charging. Though OneRugged has not disclosed camera specifications, the company confirmed stylus support. Physical connectivity options include USB-C, USB-A, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, a micro-SD card slot and an RJ45 Ethernet port. Additional features span a fingerprint sensor, barcode scanner module, 4G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC.
