Vivo has unveiled the iQOO Pad 5e, a new Android tablet positioned as a gaming-focused device under its iQOO sub-brand. The launch follows closely after the debut of the Vivo Pad 5e, with both tablets sharing similar specifications, including a 144 Hz display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor.
At a product event in China, Vivo introduced the iQOO Pad 5e alongside the iQOO 15 smartphone and iQOO Watch GT 2. The company said the tablet is “ideal for gamers,” emphasizing its visual performance and immersive sound system. “According to Vivo, the iQOO Pad 5e is ideal for gamers. To that end, gaming features heavily in the company’s marketing,” the release noted.
The tablet features a 12.05-inch display with a 2,800 x 1,968-pixel resolution and peak brightness of 900 nits. Quad-speakers are designed to deliver what the company describes as a “3D-like listening experience” during gaming. The device retains a 10,000 mAh battery and offers configurations of up to 16 GB of RAM, ensuring extended gaming sessions and smooth multitasking.
Weighing 584 grams and measuring 6.62 mm thick, the iQOO Pad 5e includes an 8 MP rear camera with an LED flash. It comes in three color options—green, grey, and silver—and is available in multiple memory configurations. Prices start at CNY 1,999 (about $281) for the 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage model, rising to CNY 2,999 (around $562) for the 16 GB RAM and 512 GB variant.
While the iQOO Pad 5e is now on sale in China, Vivo has not yet announced plans for international release. The model is expected to compete with other mid-range tablets such as Xiaomi’s Pad 7 Pro, offering similar specifications at a lower price point.
