Ghost of Yotei, the sequel to Sucker Punch Productions’ acclaimed Ghost of Tsushima, has officially gone gold, clearing the final hurdle before its scheduled release on Oct. 2, 2025.

The studio confirmed on social media that the master disc has been submitted to publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment for replication and distribution. “We’re so excited to finally reach this milestone and can’t wait for everyone to experience the beauty of Ezo on October 2nd,” Sucker Punch said.

Set 300 years after the events of the original game, Ghost of Yotei follows the story of Atsu, a mercenary navigating 17th-century Japan around Mount Yotei in the Ezo region, now known as Hokkaido. To mark the announcement, the studio released 74 seconds of gameplay footage featuring what fans have described as “gun fu” combat, blending firearms with traditional swordplay.

The game will launch in multiple editions, including a Standard version priced at $69.99 and a Digital Deluxe Edition at $79.99 that offers cosmetic and gameplay extras. A Collector’s Edition, retailing at $249.99, will include physical items such as a ghost mask, sash, and art cards, alongside digital add-ons.

While the title is exclusive to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro at launch, no PC version has been announced. Industry observers note that Sony has gradually expanded first-party titles to PC, with speculation pointing to a possible 2026 release.
