The Aipas M2 Pro electric bike is drawing interest for delivering extended range and competitive performance at a price of $949, positioning it as one of the most affordable long-distance e-bikes in its class.
The fat-tire model carries a 48-volt, 840 Wh battery that supports a manufacturer-claimed range of 40 to 85 miles (64–137 km), depending on pedal assistance level. Independent tests showed results as low as 23.2 miles at maximum assistance and up to 85 miles at minimum.
At its price point, the M2 Pro stands out by pairing its long-distance capability with a powerful motor. The rear hub system produces up to 1,800 watts peak power and 110 Nm of torque, with unrestricted speeds surpassing 36 mph (58 km/h).
Electric Bike Report, which tested the model, highlighted the value proposition: “The ride quality is impressive thanks to the full suspension, wide tires and ergonomic handlebars,” though it noted the 115-pound frame and extended wheelbase limit maneuverability.
Braking remains a weakness, with mechanical disc brakes requiring around nine meters to stop, prompting suggestions for hydraulic upgrades. Still, reviewers said the balance of price, range and performance makes the Aipas M2 Pro a strong option for commuters and recreational riders seeking affordable long-distance travel.
