Nintendo has announced a physical version of the Talking Flower from the Super Mario franchise, turning the in-game character into an interactive gadget that will begin shipping in March, as the company continues to expand its merchandise tied to recent game releases.
The small plastic toy is designed to play spoken comments either automatically or when a button on the top is pressed. According to Nintendo’s description, the Talking Flower will deliver lines that are “motivating, encouraging or simply humorous,” echoing its role in Super Mario Bros. Wonder.

The device is programmed to speak on its own about twice per hour, with its remarks adjusted based on factors such as the time of day. Around midday, for example, it may mention food, comment on the weather, warn about low batteries or announce the current time.
In addition to spoken lines, the gadget can occasionally play music from Super Mario Bros. Wonder. Users can temporarily mute it by holding down the button, and the flower is designed to remain quiet at night, offering phrases such as “Good night” and “Good morning” at appropriate times.
Nintendo said the Talking Flower will support 11 languages, including English, and is scheduled to launch on March 12, 2026. The company has not yet disclosed pricing details, saying further information will be released closer to the product’s debut.
