Volvo Cars is set to unveil its new fully electric EX60 SUV on Jan. 21, 2026, positioning the model as a premium offering with long driving range, rapid charging capability and advanced onboard computing, according to details released ahead of the world premiere.
The automaker said the EX60 will offer a driving range of up to 810 km (503 miles), including in its all-wheel-drive configuration. The vehicle is also designed to support charging power of up to 400 kilowatts, allowing drivers to add significant range in a short time. Volvo said the system can replenish enough energy for 340 km in around 10 minutes, performance it described as placing the SUV in “a league previously reserved for high-end sports cars.”

At the core of the EX60 is a new computing architecture called HuginCore, which combines components from Nvidia and Qualcomm. Volvo said the system delivers more than 250 trillion operations per second and manages both infotainment functions and real-time processing of sensor data for automated driving features.
The EX60 will also be the first production vehicle to integrate Google’s Gemini AI assistant directly into the car. Volvo said the system is designed to enable more natural voice interactions, allowing drivers to handle tasks such as trip planning or information searches through conversational commands. Future software updates are expected to expand these capabilities further.
Built as a software-defined vehicle, the EX60 will receive ongoing over-the-air updates through Volvo’s Superset Tech Stack. The company said the official unveiling will be streamed online during the January premiere event.
