Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi Note 15 in its home market, offering the smartphone at a starting price of 999 yuan ($139) while upgrading several hardware features compared with its predecessor, the Redmi Note 14.

The new device features a 6.77-inch OLED display with 1080p resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 3,200 nits.

The smartphone measures 164 x 75.42 x 7.35 mm, slightly taller than last year’s model, and weighs 178 grams, down from 190 grams. Battery capacity has grown to 5,800 mAh, maintaining 45 W wired charging support.

Xiaomi has replaced the MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, promising around 18% performance improvement in benchmarks. The camera system now uses a 50-megapixel Light Hunter 400 primary sensor, replacing last year’s Sony LYT-600 sensor.

The Redmi Note 15 is available in Azure Blue, Midnight, and Starlight White colors, with multiple memory and storage options priced as follows: 6 GB RAM/128 GB storage for 999 yuan ($139), 8 GB RAM/128 GB storage for 1,099 yuan ($153), 8 GB RAM/256 GB storage for 1,299 yuan ($181), and 12 GB RAM/256 GB storage for 1,499 yuan ($209). Xiaomi has not provided details on international availability, though leaks suggest a global version will be sold as the Redmi Note 15 5G.
