Xiaomi has added its electric SU7 Ultra supercar to the Gran Turismo franchise, marking the first appearance of a Chinese vehicle in the long-running racing game series.

The smartphone maker, which has expanded rapidly into electric vehicles, worked with the developers of Gran Turismo 7 to translate the SU7 Ultra’s real-world handling and performance into the digital racing environment. The model is placed in one of the game’s top performance categories, reflecting its specifications.

In the game, the SU7 Ultra is equipped with a tri-motor electric drivetrain producing 1,548 horsepower, placing it just below the most powerful hypercars featured in the series. It leads its category, outperforming rivals such as the Bugatti Chiron in performance ratings, despite being positioned at a far lower price point in real-world terms.

Xiaomi promotes the SU7 Ultra as the fastest mass-produced four-door sedan, with a claimed top speed of 350 km per hour. The vehicle is expected to be priced in an equivalent range of about $70,000 to $80,000, a level rarely associated with cars delivering more than 1,500 horsepower in the Gran Turismo lineup.

The addition highlights a broader shift within the franchise as electric vehicles and Chinese manufacturers gain visibility. Sony is also expected to introduce other high-performance Chinese EVs to the game, signalling a possible expansion of electric and Asia-made models in future updates.
