Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra, a new multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) based on the long-running anime franchise, has launched on Steam to mostly positive reviews and has already drawn more than 13,000 concurrent players.

The game introduces 4-versus-4 team battles with a roster that includes well-known characters such as Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Cell, Trunks, Piccolo, Majin Buu and Androids 17 and 18. Players can choose from three roles: Damage, Tank and Technical, each designed for different combat styles ranging from direct offense to defensive play and support abilities.

The title follows a free-to-play model with microtransactions that allow players to obtain cosmetic skins, emotes, animations and finishers. Multiple in-game currencies are available, including G-Capsules, Zeni and SG-Capsules, which can be earned through progression or battle passes. Heroes can be unlocked via premium currency, real money purchases, or gameplay-based rewards.

In addition to its PC release, Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra is also available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Android and iOS, positioning the game for a wide international audience across multiple platforms.
