TCL has announced the Note A1 NxtPaper, a new tablet positioned for professional use, expanding its lineup of devices that feature the company’s paper-like NxtPaper display technology designed to improve reading and working comfort.
The tablet measures 10.24 x 7.74 x 0.22 inches and weighs 17.6 ounces, making it relatively portable for work on the move. Unlike traditional e-ink screens, the color display supports 16.7 million colors, allowing it to handle a wider range of tasks while maintaining a matte, eye-friendly viewing experience.

TCL said the Note A1 supports stylus input for sketching, drawing and handwriting, with low latency intended to improve accuracy. The device can also recognize handwritten notes and generate AI-based summaries, adding to its productivity-focused positioning.
Audio features play a central role in the tablet’s professional pitch. According to TCL, “transcribing spoken text is possible,” a function that relies on an array of eight microphones and is aimed at meeting and note-taking scenarios.
