Early indications point to solid demand for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade on Nintendo’s Switch 2, with signs of strong sales appearing ahead of official figures. Several major U.S. retailers have reportedly run out of the physical Game-Key Card edition, while the title is also performing well on digital storefronts.
Reports from U.S. stores indicate that outlets such as Best Buy, GameStop and Target are showing no remaining physical stock. The Switch 2 version requires a download of more than 90 GB, occupying much of the console’s internal storage, but this has not appeared to slow buyer interest.
The game has climbed to leading positions on the Nintendo eShop sales charts and has been listed among top-selling titles on Amazon, suggesting demand across both physical and digital channels. Some buyers who missed pre-orders have turned to digital purchases, which remain available.
Pricing has helped support interest in the release, particularly for players who already own the game on PlayStation 5 or PC and can access the Switch 2 version for $39.99. The relatively lower cost stands out amid wider criticism of expensive console upgrades and remastered titles.

The Switch 2’s enhanced hardware, including support for DLSS, has enabled stable performance and improved lighting effects, even with a 30 frames-per-second cap. With a positive response to the pre-release demo, attention is now turning to upcoming retail data, including figures from Japan, to assess whether demand will remain strong in the weeks ahead.
