Garmin has rolled out beta version 16.28 to users of its Venu X1, Venu 4 and vivoactive 6 smartwatches, introducing new alarm tones, expanded notification controls and a series of stability improvements.
The update follows beta version 16.16, issued in January 2026, which added the Garmin Connect+ nutrition logging feature. According to the latest change log, version 16.28 brings additional alarm sounds and allows users to delay smart notifications until after an activity has ended by adjusting settings within the stage menu.

Garmin said the release also upgrades Garmin Connect Mobile Translations to version 3.50. In addition, the company has addressed several software issues, including a problem that could cause devices to reboot unexpectedly when starting an activity or at other times. The update also resolves issues related to resets when loading an indoor cycling course and a blank screen appearing when launching the music player mid-activity.
For Venu X1 users, the beta adds the ability to save changes to structured repeats for future interval workouts and improves pace responsiveness. The Venu X1 is currently listed at $599.99 on Amazon Marketplace.
