Garmin has released beta version 13.24 for its Instinct 3, Instinct E and Instinct Crossover smartwatches, issuing the update roughly a day after beta version 13.23. The new software focuses on resolving an issue tied to the Smart Wake alarm feature reported by some users.

In a post on the Garmin forum, the company said the update addresses a Smart Wake-related problem. The Smart Wake feature is designed to wake users during an optimal point in their sleep cycle within a 30-minute window, rather than at a fixed time. According to the original post, the update fixes an issue “where users could see a timespan for a standard alarm, despite Smart Wake being disabled.”

The release follows beta version 13.23, which targeted a separate issue affecting the same smartwatch lineup. That earlier update corrected a bug in which broadcasting heart rate data could cause the devices to crash unexpectedly.

Garmin said beta version 13.24 has been pushed to all eligible users of the Instinct 3, Instinct E and Instinct Crossover models. The update is delivered automatically when the smartwatch connects to Garmin Connect Mobile or Garmin Express.

The company continues to refine software features for its outdoor-focused wearables through its beta program, addressing user feedback and performance issues as they arise.
