Garmin has begun rolling out system software version 13.29 for several Instinct smartwatch models, focusing primarily on fixing a bug that could cause the devices to crash during certain workout activities.
The update is being released for the Instinct 3 Solar, Instinct 3 AMOLED, Instinct E and Instinct Crossover models. It follows the earlier system software versions 13.27 and 13.28, which addressed issues related to the Goal Alert feature and Gear Tracking functionality.

According to Garmin, version 13.29 resolves a problem that could lead to crashes when users performed Interval Workouts on the devices. The issue had also been addressed in the beta version of the same software.
It remains unclear whether system software 13.29 will be the final release in the 13.xx update cycle. The first stable update in the series was introduced in mid-February 2026 and added several features to the Instinct lineup, including a new Treadmill Walk activity, tools designed for trucking-related use cases and additional customization options for the Morning Report feature.
