December has been a very busy month for the Assassin’s Creed community. Not only because Ubisoft announced a new expansion titled Dawn of Ragnarok for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, but also because of the release of Crossover Stories between Valhalla and Odyssey that brought Eivor and Kassandra together. In addition, last December 21 was also commemorated as Assassin’s Creed Day.

Although not an official celebration, just like the Dragon Age community celebrating D4 Day and the Mass Effect community celebrating N7 Day, Ubisoft as the developer of the Assassin’s Creed series sometimes also takes part in the annual celebration. Now in celebration of AC Day yesterday, Ubisoft announced something that is good news, especially for Assassin’s Creed Origins players.
Happy #ACDay 💝
Whether you are a longtime fan or just discovered Assassin's Creed, we want to thank you for being a part of this community.

Following a tweet in which they celebrated AC Day by thanking the community on the official Assassin’s Creed Twitter account, Ubisoft announced that they are currently working on 60fps support for Origins. This announcement is one of the most awaited by players, considering that last August Odyssey received a patch update containing 60fps support when played via backward compatibility on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Unfortunately, apart from the confirmation, no further information has been shared such as when the 60fps support will be provided. Ubisoft itself has a busy schedule such as working on the Dawn of Ragnarok DLC for Valhalla, developing Assassin’s Creed Infinity and a live concert titled “Immersive Concert” to celebrate 15 years of the Assassin’s Creed series next year. This means that players have to be more patient if they want to play Origins at the maximum frame-rate.
Assassin’s Creed Origins is currently available to play on PS4, Xbox One, Google Stadia, PC and PS5 as well as Xbox Series X/S via backward compatibility.
