Garmin has begun rolling out its System Software 10.30 update for several models in its rugged Instinct smartwatch lineup, bringing new features and bug fixes to devices including the Instinct 3, Instinct 3 Solar, and Instinct E. The update is available globally as a free download.

For the Instinct 3 and Instinct 3 Solar, System Software 10.30 introduces over a dozen improvements, including both bug fixes and feature enhancements. Some updates are specific to the Solar variant.

The Instinct E, meanwhile, receives eight improvements, seven of which address software issues, while the only new feature added is Interval Alerts for Timers on non-Tactical models.

According to Garmin’s changelog, roughly half of owners for these models have received the update so far. The company has prioritized stability and usability, continuing its focus on both higher-end and mid-tier rugged smartwatches in the latest software release.
