Garmin has begun distributing a new stable update for several of its mid-range smartwatches, including the Instinct E, Instinct 3 and Instinct 3 Solar. The release, known as System Software 10.36, follows the rollout of the Instinct Crossover and Crossover Tactical Edition devices earlier this week.
The company had issued System Software 10.30 less than a month ago, followed by a beta version of 10.36. That beta has now been transitioned into a stable release. Garmin described the new update as an interim one that mainly targets bug fixes rather than introducing new features.
According to the company’s forum posts, the update ensures “all models should no longer have issues after accessing the Broadcast heart rate feature using a hot key.” Other fixes address problems specific to Solar and AMOLED-equipped variants, including a strobe light that stayed on after exiting activities, issues with Connect IQ data fields, and incorrect temperature readings above 100 degrees.
The release also resolves a potential crash when pairing an RD pod with Solar-only models.
Garmin continues to push regular updates across its wearable lineup, aiming to refine functionality and improve stability as new hardware editions join the Instinct range.
