Oukitel has introduced its latest rugged smartphone, the WP60, a 5G-enabled device that combines a large display, reinforced construction, and a high-capacity battery. The model, now listed on the manufacturer’s official website for $330, is currently sold out following its initial launch.

The WP60 measures 147 x 87 x 14.9 mm and features a 7.2-inch display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The screen offers a resolution of 1,560 x 720 pixels and a 120 Hz refresh rate, catering to users who prioritize smooth visuals over high pixel density. The company describes the design as “cyberpunk-inspired”, highlighting a more futuristic aesthetic compared to earlier models.

In keeping with Oukitel’s reputation for durability, the WP60 is certified under IP68, IP69K, and MIL-STD-810H standards, ensuring resistance to dust, water, and impact. Powering the device is a 10,000 mAh battery, which supports 33 W fast charging and can also be used to charge other devices.

The phone runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7025 chipset and offers multiple configurations with 8 GB, 12 GB, or 16 GB of RAM, alongside up to 512 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Storage expansion is available, although it replaces the second SIM card slot.

Oukitel said the WP60 is built for “users who demand reliability and endurance in challenging environments,” positioning it within its rugged series lineup. Camera hardware includes a 108 MP main sensor, an 8 MP night vision camera, and a 2 MP macro lens, complemented by a 32 MP front camera featuring a Sony IMX616 sensor. The device also includes a side-mounted fingerprint reader and an electronic compass, though it lacks a thermal imaging sensor and high-intensity flashlight often seen in competing rugged models.

The Oukitel WP60 continues the brand’s focus on producing durable smartphones with long battery life, catering to field professionals and outdoor enthusiasts seeking 5G connectivity and extended use in harsh conditions.
