Garmin has rolled out a new stable software update for its Approach S44 and Approach S50 smartwatches, focusing on improving performance and usability for golf enthusiasts. The release, identified as software version 7.15, is now available to all users through the Garmin Golf app or Garmin Express.
According to Garmin, the latest update “increases the number of golf courses that can be shown simultaneously in the course list” and updates the Round Summary screen to align with the interface found on the higher-end Approach S70 model. The company did not specify the exact number of additional courses that can now be displayed.
In addition to the visual and functional upgrades, software version 7.15 addresses several known issues affecting user experience. Garmin said the update “fixes a problem where the device did not vibrate to remind users to log their score” and resolves bugs related to distance calculations in the shot history list, as well as a potential crash during startup.
The company also improved translation functionality across multiple languages, although it did not detail the scope of these enhancements. This follows previous updates—versions 6.58 and 6.59—which introduced refinements to the Breathing Variations tool interface earlier this year.
Garmin’s continued software support for the Approach S44 and S50 models underscores its ongoing commitment to optimizing its golf-focused wearables. By refining course data management, fixing performance bugs, and aligning design elements across its product line, the company aims to deliver a more consistent and reliable experience for golfers worldwide.
