Xiaomi’s Black Shark sub-brand has expanded its wearable lineup with the launch of the GS3 Ultra, a smartwatch positioned as a premium successor to last year’s Watch GS3. The device features a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and a claimed peak brightness of up to 1,000 nits.

Black Shark, originally known for its gaming-oriented smartphones, now focuses on tablets and accessories aimed at the same audience. The GS3 Ultra continues the strategy of pairing Black Shark tablets with complementary wearables. Despite operating under its own branding, Black Shark remains closely associated with Xiaomi in a manner similar to Poco and Redmi.

According to product information, the GS3 Ultra is designed to withstand heavy use, shipping with IP69K certification for dust and water resistance. Sports tracking appears central to the device, with support for dual-band GPS and 160 workout modes. The company advertises extended endurance between charges, with promotional material stating that “its new smartwatch lasts up to 18 days between charges.” Real-world battery life is expected to decrease when power-intensive features such as dual-band GPS are activated.

The wearable includes standard health and fitness monitoring features but does not offer skin temperature, ECG or blood pressure measurement. Other specifications and regional variants have not yet been confirmed.

Black Shark has not disclosed pricing or launch timelines, though indications point toward a global release. More details are expected once the company outlines regional rollout plans for the GS3 Ultra.
