Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi Buds 6 in China, adding a new pair of half-in-ear wireless earbuds to its product lineup alongside the debut of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra smartphone series. The earbuds are priced at 699 yuan ($99) and are positioned as an upgraded successor to the previous generation.
The Buds 6 support Snapdragon Sound technology, including aptX Lossless audio with bitrates of up to 2.1 Mbps, exceeding Sony’s LDAC standard. Xiaomi has equipped the earbuds with a triple-magnet driver unit and a 24-karat gold-plated diaphragm, which the company says improves high-frequency sensitivity while delivering stronger bass and clearer audio output.

Audio tuning for the Buds 6 was carried out by Harman’s Golden Ear Team, and the earbuds offer several listening modes, including Harman Audio EFX and Master modes. The device also features adaptive active noise cancellation and a three-microphone system with AI-based wind noise reduction designed to reduce background noise during calls.
Xiaomi said the earbuds can deliver up to six hours of playback on a single charge with noise cancellation turned off, with total battery life reaching up to 35 hours when used with the charging case. Additional features include an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, dual-device pairing and support for Apple’s Find My service.
