Xiaomi has published details of its new tracking accessory, the Xiaomi Tag, on its global website, signaling an upcoming international release. The product had been the subject of rumors since 2025 and previously appeared in a listing on Xiaomi’s France website. The company has confirmed that the device will launch globally at an event scheduled for Feb. 28, 2026.
According to the product page, the Xiaomi Tag is compatible with both the Apple Find My and Google Find Hub protocols. The tracker uses Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC connectivity, though it does not include ultra-wideband (UWB) technology, which is available in some rival products.

The listing states that the device offers left-behind alerts, notifying users when they appear to have been separated from a tagged item. It also supports a Lost Mode, allowing owners to mark belongings as missing and attach contact information. If another user within Google’s Find Hub network locates the item, they will receive a pop-up displaying the owner’s details, while Apple Find My users can access the information via an NFC tap.
Xiaomi said the Tag includes a built-in piezoelectric buzzer to help locate nearby items by sound. It runs on a replaceable CR2032 battery, which the company estimates can last for more than one year under typical usage.
