LG has launched two of their newest projectors, the LG CineBeam HU715Q and HU710P. Both projectors have 4K resolution and HDR capability with a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio. Both the LG CineBeam HU715Q and HU710P will be available in the first quarter of 2022, but there is no pricing information yet.
The HU710P uses a hybrid laser-LED light source, which LG says doesn’t require a color wheel, and can produce up to 2,000 lumens of brightness. The HU715Q, which is a larger ultra short-throw model, uses only a laser beam and produces up to 2,500 lumens of brightness.
The LG CineBeam HU710P offers greater flexibility in terms of image size, with a range of 40 to 300 inches. However, as a conventional projector, users need a greater distance from the screen surface, about 3 meters for a 100-inch image.

But unlike other front projectors, the HU710P has a high level of keystone correction, allowing users to position the projector away from the center position. While the HU715Q is more space efficient, it allows users to project images at a size of 80 to 120 inches, so a distance of about 8.5 inches, making it suitable as a direct TV replacement.
Both models have a claimed light source life of 20,000 hours, which LG says is four times longer than a standard projector bulb. They are powered by LG’s WebOS software and come with Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit technologies.

Each projector has three HDMI ports (one with eARC) and two USB 2.0 ports. The high-end HU715Q also has an integrated quad woofer set with support for 2.2 channel stereo sound at 40 watts. Users can upgrade to surround sound when connecting the projector to one or two Bluetooth speakers. On the other hand, the HU710P only has a set of 10-watt stereo speakers.
