Microsoft seems very desperate to get users to their service. Because, in a recent announcement, Windows 11 users are required to have a Microsoft account to be able to use the OS.
In fact, Windows 10 users until now can use their OS without having to use their Microsoft account. New users will only use a Microsoft account if they want to download something from the Microsoft Store.
But actually, this requirement was present when they introduced Windows 11 Home last year. But currently, Windows 11 Pro users will also be asked to use a Microsoft account to be able to use the OS.

Not to forget, like when they introduced the Xbox One for the first time, users are also required to be connected to the internet to be able to do initial initialization before being able to use their device for the first time, as reported by Ubergizmo (21/2).
“Similar to Windows 11 Home users, the Windows 11 Pro edition now requires internet connectivity during initial device setup (OOBE) only. If you choose to set up your device for personal use, MSA will also be required for setup,” Microsoft said in an announcement.

“You can expect a Microsoft Account to be required on the next WIP flight.”
Although creating a free Microsoft account only takes a short time, it’s still like forcing users to create an account on top of the dozens of other accounts they already have. In fact, they only hope to be able to use their laptop or computer without having to create an account first.
