Instagram boss Adam Mosseri previously promised Instagram feed views would be returned according to the chronology or upload time.
He also gets a lot of questions about how Instagram will implement this change.
Through Stories, he answered netizens’ questions. Mosseri said the company is currently testing two versions of the feed view feature. He said that the display version of the Instagram feed was targeted to be released in early 2022.
“The first version of the chronological feed allows users to choose their favorite content to display according to chronology or upload time,” said Mosseri, quoted from The Verge, Monday (12/13/2021), .
While the second version will allow users to see uploads from all followed accounts according to chronology or upload time.
However, Adam Mosseri did not mention how upload recommendations would be interspersed into this chronology-based feed view.
Mosseri also made it clear that the company will not discard feeds that are displayed based on Instagram’s algorithm.
