Mark Gurman: New Apple Watch Will Support Satellite Connectivity

The rumor was spread by a well-known journalist and leaker, Mark Gurman. In a Power On article published in Bloomberg, Mark Gurman said that the new Apple Watch will support satellite connectivity.

With support for satellite connectivity, Mark Gurman wrote that the Apple Watch will function like ‘s inReach Explorer and SPOT devices.

Unfortunately, Mark Gurman did not provide more detailed information regarding the functions and how satellite connectivity works on the Apple Watch.

Still on the same page, Mark Gurman reported that Apple had formed a partnership with Globalstar Inc.

Through the partnership, Mark Gurman reported that Apple had agreed to buy 17 new satellites.

Meanwhile, Mark Gurman also wrote about the presence of satellite connectivity on smartphones.
