ARC Raiders will receive multiple new maps in 2026 as developer Embark Studios prepares to significantly expand the game with fresh locations and broader gameplay updates, the studio said.

According to Embark, several new maps are currently in development and are designed to feel meaningfully different from existing areas, rather than simple variations in size. A content roadmap outlining the rollout of new maps, weapons, enemies and objectives is expected to be released in the coming months.

The studio said it is avoiding a fixed update schedule and is instead shaping some changes based on how players interact with the game, alongside planned updates intended to move the experience in new directions. Each major update is being built around a specific theme to ensure new content feels cohesive and substantial.

Map design will focus on variety, with upcoming locations ranging from smaller, more focused environments to larger spaces that could exceed the scale of current maps. The emphasis, Embark said, is on how each map plays, including differences in enemy encounters, loot availability, movement and combat dynamics.

New maps are also expected to introduce fresh gameplay ideas and exclusive rewards, while technical considerations such as server performance, player density and overall stability will continue to influence design decisions.
