Asus has confirmed it will unveil a new version of its Zenbook Duo laptop at CES 2026 in Las Vegas next month, offering early hints of several hardware changes aimed at improving durability, usability and power management.

The company shared a brief teaser video on social media ahead of the Jan. 6 launch, signalling updates over the current Zenbook Duo OLED released earlier this year. Asus said the upcoming model will feature a refined hinge that delivers what it described as “next level durability,” suggesting a focus on strengthening one of the dual-screen laptop’s key mechanical components.

A new chapter is unfolding. Are you ready to witness the future of #ASUS Zenbook DUO?

In the same teaser, Asus indicated that the 2026 Zenbook Duo will move to a dual-battery configuration, a change that could affect overall battery capacity and runtime compared with the 75-watt-hour battery used in the 2025 edition. The company has not disclosed detailed specifications or performance targets.

Visual cues in the video also point to slimmer display bezels and a reworked port layout. A redesigned detachable keyboard accessory is shown throughout the clip, appearing to include a larger trackpad and recessed keys compared with the current model.

The existing Zenbook Duo OLED, based on Intel’s Arrow Lake processors, was positioned as a performance upgrade over its Meteor Lake predecessor, delivering gains in both processing power and battery life. While Asus has not confirmed processor details, the company is widely expected to adopt Intel’s upcoming Panther Lake platform for the 2026 model, potentially bringing further efficiency and performance improvements.

Asus has not provided pricing or availability details for the new Zenbook Duo, which are expected to be announced during its official presentation at CES 2026.
