Corsair has introduced the Vanguard 96 and Vanguard 96 Pro keyboards, devices that aim to merge gaming performance with streaming functionality. The keyboards retain a tenkeyless footprint while incorporating a numpad, arrow keys, function keys, six programmable G-keys, a rotary dial and a 1.9-inch LCD display.
The standard Vanguard 96 is priced at $179.99, while the Vanguard 96 Pro, which features Hall effect magnetic switches, is positioned as the premium model at the same price point. The Pro version supports hotswappable switches and secondary actuation points, enabling multiple functions per key, a system designed to mimic pressure-sensitive inputs typically found on game controllers.
Corsair highlighted the design as an integrated control hub for gamers and streamers. “Corsair is marketing its Vanguard 96 keyboards as an all-in-one control centre for gamers and streamers alike,” the company stated.
Both models support an 8 kHz polling rate, USB 3.0 or 3.1 Type-A connections, and include detachable memory foam wrist rests. Stream Deck integration is managed through Corsair’s iCUE software or Web Hub, allowing streamers to configure hotkeys and create virtual panels with up to 64 programmable functions each.
