OpenAI has launched a preview of ChatGPT Pulse, a feature designed to deliver proactive, personalized updates to Pro subscribers on mobile. The new tool marks a shift from reactive question-and-answer interactions toward a system that anticipates user needs.
Pulse analyzes chat history, memory and connected apps such as Google Calendar and Gmail to generate daily updates presented as visual cards. The company said this helps users track ongoing topics, manage schedules or receive suggestions tailored to their goals.
According to OpenAI, “Pulse is a new experience where ChatGPT proactively does research to deliver personalized updates based on your chats, feedback, and connected apps like your calendar.”
Users can curate the updates by providing direct feedback or requesting specific topics, such as local event roundups or training tips. The system is also designed with safety checks to avoid displaying harmful content.
Currently available only to Pro subscribers, OpenAI plans to expand Pulse to Plus users before a wider rollout.
