Elon Musk has officially bought Twitter for $44 billion. After making the purchase, Elon also stated a number of plans related to Twitter in the future.
In a tweet on his account, Elon wrote that he wanted to make Twitter better than ever by improving the product with new features, building open source algorithms, beating spam bots, and authenticating everyone.
But not only that, in the latest tweet, he also indirectly plans to feature DM (Direct Message) on Twitter, especially in terms of security. He wrote, the DM feature must have end-to-end encryption.
“Twitter DMs should have end-to-end encryption like Signal, so that no one else can spy on or hack your messages,” Elon wrote as quoted from the @elonmusk account, Thursday (28/4/2022).
However, it is unclear whether Elon’s tweet will actually be realized as a new feature in Twitter DMs. Therefore, it is interesting to know the development of the company after it is now owned by Elon Musk.
To note, Signal is a chat application that is known to have qualified security. Elon himself has indirectly promoted this application through his tweets.
In early 2021, the Tesla and SpaceX boss had invited people to start switching to Signal. “Use Signal,” he wrote at the time.
The invitation itself arose when there was a lot of WhatsApp issue asking users to agree to the new policies it implemented.
