Audio company Fiio has introduced its new JadeAudio JT3 open-back wired headphones, featuring large 50mm drivers and a focus on comfort and sound clarity. Priced at $69.99, the JT3 enters the entry-level audiophile segment with materials and features usually seen in higher-end models.
According to Fiio, the open-back design helps eliminate “heat, moisture, and pressure buildup” often experienced with closed-back headphones, while creating “a wider, more open soundstage.” The company said the design aims to provide an immersive listening experience without sacrificing comfort during long sessions.
The JT3’s 50mm dynamic drivers are built with PEK and PU composite diaphragms and brass damping rings, enabling playback across a claimed frequency range of 10Hz to 40kHz. The headphones carry an impedance of 80 ohms and a sensitivity of 97 dB/mW at 1 kHz, making them suitable for both portable and desktop headphone amplifiers.
Each earcup features an aluminum-magnesium alloy grille paired with velvet-covered memory foam earpads that are easily replaceable. The headband is made of stainless steel and zinc alloy, equipped with ball bearing sliders for smooth adjustment. The headset weighs 330 grams (11.6 oz), balancing durability with lightweight comfort.
The JT3 ships with detachable 3.5mm cables, allowing users to replace or upgrade their cables as needed. With its combination of open-back acoustics, solid build quality, and affordable price point, the JadeAudio JT3 is positioned to attract both new and budget-conscious audiophiles seeking an accessible wired option.
