GameSir has indicated it is preparing to introduce a new game controller featuring a PlayStation-style layout, marking a shift from its predominantly Xbox-style designs.

The company made the disclosure in a response to a user on social media platform X who asked whether it would produce a controller with symmetric thumbsticks. GameSir replied, “stay tuned for the new Tarantula (controller),” suggesting the upcoming device will launch under its Tarantula branding.

GameSir’s existing portfolio largely follows the asymmetric thumbstick layout associated with Xbox controllers. One exception is the Tarantula Pro, which features a PlayStation-style configuration and was first released in late 2024 before receiving a color refresh the following year. Another model with symmetric sticks, the Tegenaria Lite, is a wired and more budget-oriented option.

The company has not provided details on specifications or a release timeline for the new Tarantula model. Industry observers expect it could incorporate updated components such as second-generation magnetic-resistance sticks and higher polling rates similar to those found in premium models like the GameSir G7 Pro 8K Aimlabs Edition. A bundled charging dock may also be included, though this has not been confirmed.

Further information is expected closer to the product’s official launch.
