Garmin has commenced the rollout of Public Beta version 23.10 for its Edge 540, Edge 840, and Edge 1040 cycling computers, focusing on resolving a specific issue introduced in the previous beta update.
According to the changelog, version 23.10 addresses a bug related to the new road hazards feature, which was implemented with update 23.09. This bug reportedly caused hazards to appear incorrectly positioned on maps for users in China, without impacting users in other regions.
The update follows closely on the heels of version 23.09, which debuted at the end of June and introduced several enhancements including Garmin Share, GroupRide awards, and improvements to the Power Guide feature. These updates are part of Garmin’s ongoing efforts to enhance functionality and user experience across its cycling computer lineup.
Cyclists enrolled in the beta program can access version 23.10 by connecting their devices to Wi-Fi and navigating to Main Menu > System > About > Check For Updates. Interested users can join the beta program through Garmin Connect to gain early access to upcoming features and improvements.
In related news, Garmin recently launched the Edge 1050, a premium cycling computer equipped with advanced performance metrics, coaching capabilities, and innovative features like a digital bike bell, expanding options for cycling enthusiasts seeking enhanced data and usability in their rides.
