Garmin has released a new software update for its Approach S70 golfing smartwatch, introducing a series of bug fixes aimed at improving reliability and performance. The company said System Software version 25.11 is now available to all users of the device.
The Approach S70 was last updated around four months ago with version 23.20, which introduced support for a device passcode. The latest release focuses on resolving technical issues rather than adding new features, Garmin said.

Among the fixes, Garmin addressed a problem in Map Manager that prevented map updates from installing correctly. The company also resolved crashes that could occur when ending a golf round and corrected an issue that stopped users from properly editing weights during a Strength activity.
Additional changes include a correction to the title shown in the Sleep Mode settings menu and a fix for wrist-based heart rate tracking. According to the release notes, Garmin “tackled a problem where wrist heart rate recording would not automatically start when it had previously been disabled for a particular activity.”
