Supergiant Games said its highly anticipated action roguelike Hades II will leave early access and launch in full on Sept. 25, 2025, expanding availability across PC and Nintendo consoles.
Players who already own the game in early access on Steam or the Epic Games Store will receive the version 1.0 update at no additional cost. New buyers will be able to purchase the game digitally for PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2, where pre-orders have already opened.
The studio said the title will take advantage of the Switch 2’s upgraded hardware, supporting 120 frames-per-second gameplay at 1080p in TV mode. On handheld, the game runs at 60 fps at 1080p, while the original Switch supports 60 fps at 720p. Cross-save functionality between PC and both Switch versions will also be included.
A retail edition for the Nintendo Switch 2 will be released on Nov. 20. Priced at $49.99 in North America, the package will include a physical game card, a character compendium booklet, a download code for the official soundtrack, and a reversible cover. The cartridge will also be compatible with the original Switch.
Hades II marks the studio’s first sequel and has been in early access since May 2024. Supergiant described the project as its most ambitious to date, shaped by more than a year of player feedback during development.
