Huawei Watch D Official Announced, Carrying Blood Pressure Monitoring

Huawei Watch D has finally been officially announced along with the Huawei P50 Pocket release event

After briefly showing an official render image and a little information regarding the specifications and features it will have, the Huawei Watch D has finally been officially announced along with the Huawei P50 Pocket release event.

This latest smartwatch from Huawei will have a main panel measuring 1.64 inch AMOLED color touchscreen panel which has a resolution of 456 x 280 pixels and a pixel density of 326 ppi. This panel uses an aluminum alloy frame and has a choice of Black and Titanium colors.

The strap for the Watch D is made of fluoro-rubber and is available in two sizes for its length, namely medium at 11.8 cm and large at 13.3 cm.

Huawei Watch D comes with standard features and completeness of a smartwatch in general, such as monitoring and tracking for the health and sports of its users. Features such as heart rate detection, step monitoring, exercise mode, sleep quality monitoring, to monitoring blood oxygen levels are also available on this smartwatch. What sets the Huawei Watch D apart from other smartwatches is the ability to record ECG (Electrocardiography) and measure blood pressure.

The smartwatch's ECG recording feature uses TruSeen+ 5.0 technology, where this technology uses eight circular photoelectric sensors and a pair of light sources with curved sapphire glass lenses and PVD-coated ECG electrodes to filter out interference and achieve accurate results.

This smartwatch is indeed promoted to be able to detect the risk of several diseases such as Atherosclerosis, Arrhythmia, and Sleep Apnea, and encourage them to meet with experts to be able to read and analyze data in more detail. In China, Huawei has collaborated with 301 hospitals to test the accuracy and reliability of the Watch D.

Other features include Huawei TruBP technology that uses a micro air pump and air bag for wrist-based blood pressure measurement, NFC connectivity, temperature sensors, and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. Watch D is also claimed to have a battery that can last up to 7 days.

This Huawei Watch D will go on sale in China from December 25, 2021 at a price of CNY 2,988. It would be interesting if Huawei could release this smartwatch in Indonesia in the future.
