Apple officially opened the MacBook Air M2 pre-order period on Friday (8/7). Apple plans to ship MacBook Air M2 to customers starting July 15, 2022.
Unfortunately that changed because Apple implemented a new schedule for shipping the MacBook Air M2.
Customers around the world will have to be patient as shipments of the MacBook Air M2 have been pushed back to mid-August 2022.
This shipping delay applies to all MacBook Air M2 variants. The MacBook Air M2 Midnight variant is projected as a model that is plainly hard to come by.
The reason is, Apple has postponed the delivery of the MacBook Air M2 Midnight for the next 4 weeks. In addition to the Midnight model, Apple has also delayed shipping the MacBook Air M2 in Silver and Starlight color variants.
Customers who have pre-ordered the MacBook Air M2 Silver variant will have to wait about 2-3 weeks for delivery.
Meanwhile, MacBook Air M2 Space Gray and Starlight are the variants with the fastest delivery times. According to 9to5mac, the MacBook Air M2 Sapce Gray and Starlight will ship within 1-2 weeks from now.
A Starlight model with 8GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage is also available with the same shipping schedule. Apple did not provide detailed information about the reason for the delay in the delivery schedule.
Even so, Apple continues to strive to meet customer demand for the MacBook Air M2 product.
