Minisforum has released a new mini-PC powered by AMD’s latest Gorgon Point architecture, expanding its AI X1 lineup with updated processing and AI capabilities. The device, called the AI X1 Pro-470, was unveiled during CES 2026 in Las Vegas and is now available globally.

The compact desktop builds on last year’s AI X1 Pro and is among the first commercially available systems to use AMD’s Gorgon Point platform. Minisforum said the new model is designed to deliver incremental performance improvements while keeping the same compact metal chassis and connectivity options as its predecessor.

At the core of the system is AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 APU, which features four Zen 5 CPU cores boosting up to 5.2 GHz, alongside eight Zen 5c efficiency cores. Graphics performance also sees a modest uplift, with the integrated Radeon 890M GPU running at up to 3,100 MHz, while AI performance increases to 55 TOPS. As noted in the original announcement, the chip offers “a 100 MHz overclock over the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370” used in the earlier model.

Beyond the processor, most specifications remain unchanged. The AI X1 Pro-470 supports up to 128 GB of DDR5-5600 memory, includes Wi-Fi 7, USB4 and OCuLink ports, and retains features such as a fingerprint reader and a dedicated Copilot shortcut. The system measures 195 x 195 x 47.5 mm and weighs about 1.5 kg.

Minisforum is offering the AI X1 Pro-470 as a barebones system starting at $759.90, with regional pricing available in Europe, the UK, Canada and Australia. Preconfigured versions with memory and storage are also available, with launch discounts and a limited-time coupon offered through the company’s website.
