Some time ago Minecraft got a fairly large update titled Caves and Cliff which was divided into two parts. And in the cinematic trailer for the second part, it shows footage where Alex (the protagonist other than Steve) falls into a small lake in a cave. However, one thing that is interesting about the series of footage is the water splash effect created by it.
However, unfortunately this effect is only present for the trailer and does not actually exist in the game. This then caught the attention of a YouTuber and modder with the nickname doctor4t, where he was also impressed by the splash effect and decided to bring it himself into Minecraft.

As you can see in the video above, it doesn’t just provide a splashing effect, the modder even adjusts the intensity of the splash depending on how big the object is in the water. Furthermore, he also explained that how far the object before falling into the water will also affect the height of the splash.
Even though this mod itself sounds ordinary and may not really provide a meaningful playing experience, immersiveness is sometimes something that is no less important for today’s games.
