Wearable maker Muse has announced the Ring One 2.0, a next-generation smart ring designed to monitor health metrics, facilitate contactless payments, and offer AI-powered wellness insights. The device, which will launch through a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo, has yet to receive a confirmed price or release date.
According to the company, the Ring One 2.0 introduces a set of advanced biometric tracking features, including blood pressure monitoring without the use of a traditional cuff, as well as AFib detection, heart rate, oxygen saturation, respiratory rate, and skin temperature tracking. Muse said the ring is intended to help users gain deeper insights into their well-being through companion app analytics and personalized recommendations.
Muse stated that the blood pressure readings are delivered directly on the ring and are designed to provide more tangible data compared to conventional alert-based systems. The firm acknowledged, however, that accuracy and calibration methods remain key points of interest as similar health-tracking features in rival devices, such as Apple’s Watch lineup, have faced scrutiny over reliability.
In addition to health monitoring, the Ring One 2.0 supports NFC-based contactless payments, allowing users to make purchases or unlock smart locks and compatible vehicles. The device features a titanium chassis and is rated water-resistant up to 100 meters, underscoring its focus on durability and premium build quality.
The smart ring’s accompanying mobile app is expected to provide AI-assisted analysis of sleep and activity data, delivering lifestyle recommendations based on user habits. Some advanced app functions, however, may be restricted to subscribers under a paid plan.
Muse said the Ring One 2.0 represents its latest step in merging health technology with convenience, emphasizing user accessibility and seamless integration across daily routines.
