Nomad has unveiled an upgraded iteration of its popular 65W GaN charger, now equipped with wireless charging capabilities and official Apple MFi certification for fast-charging compatibility with Apple Watch.
The latest release from Nomad features a built-in wireless charging pad atop the adapter, setting it apart from its predecessor. With Apple’s MFi certification, the charger can deliver rapid charging speeds specifically tailored for Apple Watch models, including Series 7, Series 8, Series 9, Ultra, and Ultra 2.
Retaining its dual-port design, the Nomad 65W GaN charger offers a combined power output of 65W. The top port supports up to 45W, while the bottom port provides a maximum of 20W, ensuring versatile charging capabilities for multiple devices simultaneously. Despite its robust power delivery, the charger maintains a compact form factor designed for travel convenience, featuring retractable prongs that contribute to its portability.
Nomad emphasizes the charger’s compatibility beyond Apple devices, stating it functions with “most other USB-C” devices, expanding its utility across various tech ecosystems. However, the wireless charging feature for Apple Watch excludes models with loop-style bands and certain protective cases, as noted by the company.
Priced at $100, the refreshed Nomad 65W GaN charger is currently available exclusively in the Carbide color variant, catering to users seeking efficient and reliable charging solutions for their mobile devices.
