Ollo Audio has expanded its professional headphone portfolio with the launch of the R1, a closed-back studio model designed to minimize sound leakage during vocal and instrument recording sessions.
The company said the R1 reduces audio spill by as much as 10 dB SPL, a feature intended to prevent backing tracks from entering live recordings. According to Ollo Audio, the headphones use a U-shaped acoustic tuning that boosts bass and treble to help performers stay engaged during sessions. “The audio tuning of the studio headphones is U-shaped, emphasizing the bass and treble,” the company said.
The R1 features 50 mm drivers housed in American walnut earcups, offering a frequency response from 5 Hz to 22 kHz with total harmonic distortion below 0.12% at 94 dB SPL. The drivers are rated for a maximum output of 110 dB at 32 ohms.
The model includes a detachable 2-metre Y-cable with a mini-XLR connection and is built with fully user-replaceable parts. The headphones weigh 386 grams.
