OnePlus has confirmed it will introduce a new “Turbo” smartphone series, reinforcing the company’s recent shift toward performance-focused devices with large batteries and gaming-oriented features.
The announcement was made by OnePlus President Louis Lee in a post on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, where he outlined the positioning of the new lineup. The Turbo series is designed to emphasize performance efficiency, battery endurance and gaming capabilities within its intended price range, which is expected to sit in the mid-range segment.

The move follows recent OnePlus launches that prioritized hardware performance, including the OnePlus 15 with a 165Hz display and the Ace 6T, which debuted Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor and the largest battery ever used in a OnePlus phone. The Turbo series is widely expected to compete with similar performance-driven models such as Xiaomi’s Redmi Turbo line.
According to industry tipster Smart Pikachu, OnePlus could launch two Turbo-series smartphones in January 2026. Both devices are rumored to feature large displays and batteries nearing 9,000 milliamp-hours, exceeding the 8,300 mAh capacity of the Ace 6T. One model is also expected to use a customized version of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset.
