    Oppo Air Glass, first augmented reality Headset from Oppo

    Oppo is holding Oppo Inno Day 2021, an annual event that showcases Oppo’s new innovations. On the first day of its implementation, this Chinese technology vendor released Air Glass and Oppo NPU (Neural Processing Unit) smart glasses called MariSilicon X.

    Oppo Air Glass is an assisted reality device in the form of a monocle equipped with Spark Micro Projector technology, Micro LED, and a diffraction optical waveguide display.

    While the NPU is Oppo’s first imaging technology capable of processing RAW in realtime. That way users can record videos with 4K AI Night Video and display a live preview with the best quality.

    Oppo Indonesia Chief Creative Officer Patrick Owen said that the Oppo Inno Day technology exhibition was an important company activity.

    “At Oppo Inno Day 2021, we introduced Air Glass and NPU technology. The presence of Oppo Air Glass and NPU is a form of Oppo’s commitment to providing innovative and revolutionary products, as well as providing an extraordinary experience for users,” said Patrick.

    About Oppo Air Glass

    Oppo Vice President and Research Institute Head Levin Liu said, “Oppo has been developing Extended Reality (XR) technology for a long time. Through Oppo Air Glass, we have succeeded in creating smart glass products that are now within the reach of consumers.”

    Oppo Air Glass is said to come with a futuristic design. This product is claimed to change the way humans see and consume information.

    “With Oppo Air Glass technology, users can activate various interesting features quickly and easily using hand gestures, head movements, voices, or touching the virtual screen that appears on the device,” said Liu.
