Samsung Electronics on Tuesday unveiled a roster of 68 athletes from 17 countries who will represent Team Samsung Galaxy at the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, as the technology group steps up its engagement ahead of the event.
The company said the athletes, spanning both Olympic and Paralympic sports, were selected for personal journeys that align with Samsung’s campaign theme, “Open always wins,” which was first introduced during the Paris 2024 Summer Games and is being extended to the Winter Games.

“Athletes and fans are at the heart of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, and Samsung is proud to help bring them closer together and make moments more connected,” said Sophia Kim, vice president and head of the Experience Marketing Group at Samsung’s Mobile eXperience business.
The roster covers nine winter disciplines, including snowboarding, freestyle and alpine skiing, speed skating and figure skating. Notable athletes include U.S. freestyle skiing Olympic champion Alex Hall, Austrian snowboarder and two-time Olympic gold medalist Anna Gasser, South Korean short track speed skating champion Minjeong Choi and Italian snowboarder Ian Matteoli.

Samsung said Team Samsung Galaxy athletes will share their stories on the road to Milano Cortina 2026, as the company seeks to highlight openness, creativity and technology as values that connect athletes, fans and communities during the Winter Games.
