Senra Systems has raised $65 million in a Series B funding round to expand its digital manufacturing platform for wire harness production, a critical component used in aerospace, defense and industrial equipment.
The funding round was co-led by Lowercarbon Capital and Interlagos, with participation from General Catalyst, Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Founders Fund, Dylan Field, CIV, 8VC, The Friedkin Group, Jaws Estates Capital, Sozo Ventures, and Alumni Ventures.
The financing brings the Redondo Beach, California-based company’s total funding to more than $112 million.
Funding to Expand Manufacturing Capacity
Founded in 2023 by former SpaceX engineer Jordan Black and Benjamin Shanahan, Senra develops software that creates digital models of wire harnesses and guides technicians through the assembly process using standardized digital workflows.
The company said it currently manufactures approximately 1,000 wire harnesses per month across two facilities and plans to increase production to 10,000 units per month by 2027.
The new funding will support construction of a third manufacturing facility, expansion of its engineering team and growth of production capacity following the opening of its Cypress, California facility, which adds approximately 80,000 square feet of manufacturing space.
Digital Platform Targets Manufacturing Bottlenecks
Wire harnesses connect electrical power and data systems in products ranging from satellites and launch vehicles to submarines and military equipment.
According to Senra, its Amp platform replaces traditional paper-based production methods with digital workflows designed to improve manufacturing efficiency while supporting human assembly.
Chief Executive Officer Jordan Black said the company was founded to address one of the industry’s longstanding production challenges.
“Wire harnesses are the nervous system behind every advanced platform, yet they’re still built on PDFs, spreadsheets, and tribal knowledge.”
Senra said its customers include manufacturers of satellites, launch vehicles, submarines and defense systems, although it has not publicly identified specific companies.
