The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) has launched its Informed Delivery mobile app, giving customers expanded digital access to preview and manage their mail and packages from their smartphones.

The free app enables users to receive notifications for incoming mail, track packages in real time, scan barcodes, share delivery updates, and log in using biometric authentication. It is now available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play.

The launch marks another step in the Postal Service’s Delivering for America 10-year plan, aimed at modernizing its operations, improving delivery reliability, and strengthening long-term financial sustainability.

USPS continues to operate as a self-funded federal entity, serving nearly 169 million addresses across the United States without relying on tax dollars for its operating expenses.
