Chinese consumer electronics maker Dreame, known for its high-end robotic vacuum cleaners, said it will debut its first electric car at the CES 2026 trade show in January, marking its move into the increasingly competitive electric vehicle sector.

Dreame, which has expanded beyond home cleaning devices into products such as televisions and air purifiers, is following a similar path to other Chinese technology firms entering the auto industry. The company says its automotive push is built on its experience developing high-speed electric motors for consumer appliances.

The company manufactures vacuum motors certified by Frost & Sullivan as the “world’s 1st 200,000RPM high-speed digital motor,” and plans to apply that research and development to a performance-oriented electric sports car.

According to details released ahead of CES, the electric car is expected to deliver more than 1,000 horsepower and accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in under two seconds. Dreame has said the vehicle will target the luxury performance segment, with interior features intended to match its headline performance figures.

The article also said the car’s electric motors and drivetrain will use refrigerant-based cooling to keep operating temperatures below 15 degrees Celsius, a design aimed at sustaining high performance. Dreame has not disclosed pricing or production timelines, as competition intensifies among technology companies and automakers seeking to push electric vehicle performance limits.
